Combinied Lubricants
One Additive, Dual Action: Multi-functional lubricants like LB 330 can replace two separate additives in a formulation. Rather than adding a glycerol ester for internal lubrication and a wax for external slip, a formulator might use a single neutral wax (LB 330) to cover both needs. This not only streamlines the recipe but also ensures the internal and external lubrication are perfectly balanced, since they originate from the same additive. It’s a straightforward way to reduce complexity and potential additive interactions.
Werpol LB 330
- A highly versatile additive functioning as both an internal and external lubricant.
- Improves melt flow and reduces sticking on metal surfaces.
- Neutral and non-reactive, with low impact on transparency and odor.
- Low sensitivity to dosage, prevents bloom or softness, even when slightly overdosed.
Werpol LB 190
- Multi-functional GMS additive providing both internal lubrication and external slip through slight blooming.
- Improves melt flow and acts as a mild antiblock in films. Ideal for slip/antifog performance in polyolefins and lubrication in PVC.
- Natural origin adds value for eco-friendly packaging.
Werpol LB 150
- Enhances throughput and demolding in vacuum calibration and sheet finishing.
- Used especially in rigid PVC sheet extrusion for combined friction reduction.
Anti-fog
Our anti-fog additives are designed for food packaging films, greenhouse covers, and any application where clarity in the presence of moisture is important. They are typically added to polyolefin or PVC films in small amounts (0.5–2 phr) and migrate to the film’s surface over time. We offer both fast-acting and long-lasting anti-fog formulations to suit a variety of needs.
Werpol AF 180
- High-purity GMO antifog additive designed for immediate surface migration.
- Ideal for polyolefin-based films like salad bags and fruit wraps where condensation starts quickly.
- Effective under refrigeration; approved for indirect food contact.
- Best suited where rapid antifog action is needed, though longevity is moderate.
Werpol AF 400
- Slower migration but sustained antifog performance.
- Perfect for greenhouse use, PVC cling films and refrigerated packaging like meat or cheese wraps.
- Maintains water-shedding film even under repeated temperature changes.
- Often used with PS 501 plasticizer to combine softness and fog resistance.
Other Anti-fogs: For specialized needs, we also offer custom anti-fog formulations, for example for PET or polycarbonate sheet applications.
Antistatics
We offer antistatic solutions in the form of specialized waxes that provide both lubrication and static reduction. Unlike some liquid antistatic agents that can exude or wash off, our antistatic additives are integral, waxy ingredients that remain in the polymer matrix and continue to work throughout the part’s lifetime.
Werpol AW MB
- Premium-grade EBS wax that migrates to polymer surfaces to reduce resistivity, preventing static buildup.
- Reduces dust attraction and static cling in parts.
- Also acts as slip agent, mold release, antiblock, and dispersing aid.
- High purity, consistent particle size.
Chemistry Note: Ethylene bis-stearamide is a waxy solid with a high melting point (~144 °C). During processing, it melts and migrates to the surface of the polymer, where, upon cooling, it re-crystallizes as a fine film or bloom. This microscopic wax layer provides a slip effect (lowering surface friction) and a mild antistatic function (by attracting a bit of moisture and preventing charge build-up.
Cleaner and Safer Plastics: By preventing static build-up, antistatic additives not only keep products dust-free, they also improve safety. In environments with flammable vapors or fine powders, a static spark can be a serious hazard. Using an antistatic additive in plastic components (e.g., packaging, conveyor parts, equipment housings) helps dissipate charge harmlessly, greatly reducing the risk of electrostatic discharge. This simple addition can have outsized benefits for both product appearance and workplace safety.
Speciality Wax Additives
Our range of specialty wax-based additives serves unique functions and targets high-performance applications beyond standard PVC processing. These include high-melting synthetic waxes for engineering plastics, multi-purpose waxes for dispersion and nucleation, and other tailored additives that do not fit neatly into the earlier categories. All these products are characterized by their wax-like nature (solid at room temperature, low to moderate molecular weight) and their ability to improve processing or performance in ways conventional additives might not.
Werpol LB 810
- Thermally stable, non-corrosive, silicone-free, effective at high molding temperatures, low dosage needed.
Werpol LB 820
- Broad polymer compatibility, good demolding, stable at high temperatures, usable across plastic/elastomer blends.
Werpol LB 830
- Enhanced release in difficult geometries, resistant to degradation, ideal for glass-filled or high-temp systems.
Werpol AW MB
- High thermal stability, multifunctional use (EPS, films, compounds), dispersion aid, non-corrosive.
Werpol PWT 1000
- High crystallinity, low melt viscosity, fast solidifying, improves pigment wetting, compatible with high-temp processing.
Tailored for Tough Polymers: Standard lubricants that work in PVC might fail when confronted with materials like polycarbonate or nylons. That’s where specialized waxes come in. The LB 800-series pentaerythritol esters, for example, were specifically developed to tackle lubrication in engineering plastics—they can handle higher temperatures, and their polarity is tuned to these more polar polymers. Using such tailored additives means even high-performance plastics can be processed with ease, achieving smooth surfaces and easy demoulding—something that would otherwise be very challenging.
Beyond Lubrication: Some wax additives deliver functional benefits that go beyond just acting as processing aids. In polyolefins, a hard wax can improve the scratch resistance of the final product by forming a microscopic surface layer. These “bonus” effects can be the deciding factor in choosing a specialty wax: you get processing improvements and better end-product performance simultaneously.
Plasticizers
Our plasticizer solutions are all phthalate-free and designed to meet modern safety standards, all product ar food-contact compliant while delivering equal or better performance in terms of flexibility, clarity, and low volatility.
Our flagship product in this category is Werpol PS 501, a next-generation primary plasticizer for PVC.
Beyond Werpol PS 501, our plasticizer range includes epoxidized vegetable oils and specialty citrate-based plasticizers available on request.
Werpol PS 501
- Bio-derived plasticizer based on glycerol and natural vegetable oils.
- Provides high plasticizing efficiency, transparency, thermal stability, and low migration.
- Enhances thermal stability and reduces plastisol viscosity, compatible with other plasticizers.
Epoxidized Soybean Oil (ESO)

- Phthalate-free, ideal for food-grade films.
Phthalate-Free Future: Regulatory pressures (in the EU, US, and worldwide) and consumer preferences are driving the rapid adoption of phthalate-free plasticizers. Formulators are increasingly turning to bio-based solutions like PS 501 to meet compliance requirements and to enhance the sustainability profile of final products. By choosing modern plasticizers, manufacturers not only ensure safety but also often find improvements in performance— such as better resistance to extraction and lower volatility, which ultimately lengthens the product’s service life.
